Are You Being Targeted?

In today’s episode of why women are scared to live alone.

Living alone is scary enough. Living alone as a woman is a whole other ballgame entirely.

Just this past weekend a young lady on TikTok whose username will not be disclosed, found an unusual signature on top of her garbage can as she stepped outside to take out the trash.

The snow printed writing clearly reads “1F” and she, being as confused as the rest of us, took it to TikTok to ask what it meant. The replies were chilling.

1F was a signal.

It stood for 1 Female.

A sign to other burglars or kidnappers to alert them that there was a single female living alone in the house.

That is terrifying.

It led me and the rest of Twitter down a rabbit hole of finding other ill-fated symbols and their not so obvious meanings.

2. This house has been previously burgled before

3. This occupant is a good target for a robbery/ kidnapping

4. This is a vulnerable occupant. Referring to an elderly or disabled individual who lives alone.

5. The occupant is afraid. The occupant is already paranoid and anxious.

6. There is nothing worth stealing in this house.

7. It’s too risky. Burglars have identified this house to be a risky target.

8. These occupants are wealthy. There are valuable possessions in this house.

Be vigilant.
