What is the best way to participate and get involved in chapter based coding community groups like Women Who Code that can help with professional development and networking?

Participating in Slack groups with other developers can be a good way to keep in touch with the community and also get/give coding help.

When looking for a job it helps to develop depth in one area of coding, so you can go in to an interview with something that you have mastered. At the same time, you have to be flexible and open to learning. You don’t want to say flat out “I don’t do [such and such dev framework] in an interview. Instead, admit that you don’t know it and be open to learning it!
